My funny experience of traveling
France back and forth
So, I going to begin with the first flight of two other flights a one day. It was from my home town to Saint-Petersburg. I was really exited because it was the first time for the long time when I travelling by plane. Moreover, I was really pleased when it found out that my suitcase was delivered safe and sound.
The hotel ***.
Unfamiliar language and mentality made me I little bit speechless. Honestly, figuratively and literally. But hoteliers, lovely man and woman, at the registration desk , thank goodness, could speak English. So, here we can begin our enormous storytelling of my adventures in Paris.
The first day was the hardest one because I couldn’t put my camera into my bag. Parisian architecture so amazed me. No skyscrapers in the center of the city only old houses which have a historical value.
Several days after, an excursion to the palace of Versailles was planned, but the problem was that to get to my destination I had to use the subway. First, I had never went by this type of transport, second everything (but mostly) was written in french, third, I was a really shy person and couldn’t ask passers-by about anything. So, there were signs of directions of the trains and I saw the word “Versailles” which was written on one of them and thought:
Oh it’s what I need!
Spoiler alert. I thought wrongly and at the last moment I finally decided to ask person who worked there. He answered that I couldn’t get to the station which I need because this train went on a different direction. I was more thankful than I could express. Finally, thanks God, I had took a right train and reached my destination successfully.
After I bought the tickets I saw magnificent golden gate of the castle (and the huge crowd of people it was queue). I was speechless.
But it was first but not the only one “Wonder of Versailles”. I can not express by words how this place amazing but I going to try to do this. I was empresses by the a huge historical value of palace where some of the most important historical event took place.
There hopefully were the guide books which was written by English language so I couldn’t get lost and could read them and dive into French history. That day was fulled by luxurious interiors of king’s and queen’s rooms, enormously huge and beautiful gardens adjacent to the Palace, famous paintings and statues, fountains. At the end of a day, after excursion I was too exhausted to do anything else. I went already known way and came back to the hotel.
Next day I had one more important excursion. The Louvre Museum. It was the royal palace as well. Hopefully, I didn’t need to take a transport to got there so I had only the map and purpose.
Yes, right here located the most famous and mysterious painting in the world. Mona Lisa. Except of this one there are a lot of other pieces of art not inferior in beauty to its.
So, I was pleasantly surprised when the cashier told me that I could attend the museum for free because I was under eighteen. The queue of willingness to look at Mona Lisa began almost at the beginning if the path. Spoiler alarm again. I didn’t know it, so I was at the middle of the queue and decided to go out of it and to look at the Egyptian section. Few hours later I understood that I need to go at the beginning of my way. Few hours later again I finally achieved the main goal. The most important and the most famous painting in the world. Unfortunately, it did not keep up to my expectations.
Finally, it was the day when I had to leave Paris and of course something went wrong. I couldn’t сall a cab and I was a little bit frighten because I could miss my flight. Maybe for twenty minutes hotel workers tried to call me a cab for ten times but no avail. So, me and my big suitcase decided to catch a cab right on the street. I spent maybe thirty minuets to do it but, fortunately, successfully. On our way to the airport driver said that he liked my colourful suitcase.
In the end, I after all didn’t miss my flight, moreover, I had a time to drink a cup of coffee at the airport.
